DELIVERY GOALS

GOAL 1: To provide a big-picture and drill-down capability into the intricate data-enrollment relationships that exist within a healthcare provider account

<< Overview  Next >>

The healthcare EDI enrollment process requires a large amount of detailed and inter-related information within an account. In researching the enrollment process, it was discovered that most vendors are using spreadsheets or PC database solutions that don’t present an opportunity to easily view and drill-down through these relationships.

Enroll-Link was designed from the ground-up with the data needs of the enrollment specialist in mind. Enroll-Link also designed the relationships to model the real-world entities that constitute a healthcare provider account.

Within Enroll-Link the highest level of information is the Account. The Account represents a healthcare business entity. It could be a single provider practice, a multi-location clinic, or even a hospital. Within an account exist sub-entities: Providers, Service Locations, and Payers. A further relationship exists that binds these sub-entities: Provider/Locations and Provider/Location/Payers. The enrollment process needs to know which Providers work at which Service Locations and submit transactions to which Payers. The following diagram provides a clearer picture:

Enroll-Link’s Account Overview page provides a high level snapshot of this information. A user can easily drill-down through the various data layers to find detailed information when necessary.

Most Client Tracking/CRM systems are organized on the basis of Accounts and Contacts within an account. The majority of web-based Client Tracking/CRMs have no facility for creating new tables of data that are interrelated. This limits their effectiveness in the EDI enrollment process. For those Client Tracking/CRM systems that are more customizable, it would require much development effort to approach the level of data relationship that is inherent in Enroll-Link. It is unlikely that any available Client Tracking/CRM system could fully match Enroll-Link’s enrollment data model. Enroll-Link is not intended as a replacement for existing sales and customer support tracking software. Enroll-Link can be interfaced with these existing systems to enhance the EDI enrollment process.
